Mr. Jarrod Boudreaux is our General Manager at Gulf Coast Training Technologies. Before starting his career here he was a Marine Instructor for Randy Smith Training Solutions, a Moody International company, which specializes in providing technical training for the petroleum sector as well as behavior-based safety and leadership training for companies operating in high-risk environments worldwide.
Prior to joining Randy Smith Training Solutions in 2008, Mr. Boudreaux was the Vice President of Safety, Environmental and Operational Training Co. He began his career in the oilfield industry with Global Marine Drilling Co working his way up from the galley to finally becoming a Marine OIM. After working offshore for 15 years, Mr. Boudreaux expanded his career to the safety industry.
As a Safety consultant, Mr. Boudreaux taught safety courses such as HAZMAT Specialist Level, Water Survival and Zodiac Boat Rescue, Crane Operator/Rigger and T-2 Production Safety System Basic along with many other general safety courses. Mr. Boudreaux has created and implemented a comprehensive audit system for drilling contractors to audit an employee’s knowledge of OIM,BCO,BS and operation of cranes and lifting equipment, the following of safety protocol and the comprehension of all state, federal and international standards. He has had the opportunity to travel to many of the states within the US, Mexico, Central America, Africa, Canada, Singapore, UAE, and Trinidad to implement the comprehensive audit system he developed. Some of the companies that have utilized the audit system include Pride International, NDC, CDC, ExxonMobil, Noble, and Nabors Drilling International, Pemex and Canada Inc.
Mr. Boudreaux’s professional development and continuing education include Corporate Safety Professional degree with The American Society of Safety Engineers, Advanced Safety Auditing with Global SantaFe, Well Control Accreditation Program with International Association of Drilling Contractors, Basic and Advance Ship Firefighting with Delgado Community College.
Mr. Boudreaux obtained many national and international licenses and certifications. He has acquired his Offshore Installation Manager/Barge Supervisor/Ballast Control Operator and Merchant Marine License. Mr. Boudreaux is also a PEC/Premier Master Level Instructor, an NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) Master Trainer, NCCER Assessment Program Administrator and Medic/First Aid Train the Trainer in Infant, Child and Adult CPR.
